Bicycling:
Local cities and bicycling groups collaborated to create the Champaign-Urbana Bike Map and the Champaign County Bike Map. Bicycling is one of the greenest ways to transport yourself and your family. They also produced the Champaign County Greenways & Trails Map.

Mass Transit:
MTD: The mass transit system in Champaign-Urbana is outstanding. MTD makes it super easy to use the system, with a trip planner tool on their website, a real-time app for your smart phone, and frequent bus stops at convenient locations. Riding the bus is a great way get greener.
Piattran: Piattran is a schedule-ahead door-to-door service located in Monticello, IL. They provide re-curring or one-time transit between Piatt County villages and Champaign, as well as scheduled trips to Decatur and Springfield.
Amtrak: A train from Champaign can take you straight to downtown Chicago in under 3 hours. Other destinations on a direct line include Carbondale, IL; Memphis, TN; New Orleans, LA. Amtrak is another public transportation system that contributes to a greener future.
